Janet Louise Schumacher, 89, of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Pigeon. Janet was born May 1, 1933 in Pigeon to the late Adolph and Elna Buchholz. On October 11, 1958 she married James Schumacher; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2016. She was known for her smile and for her work as a companion at Country Bay Village for 20 years, retiring at age 83. Janet was a simple person who lived a simple life in a small town; she had a small family to which she was entirely devoted. We will make every effort to accommodate families in making arrangements and conducting services in any capacity needed to ensure their safety and comfort while honoring their loved one.

Earl was born May 7, 1941 in Midland to the late Everett and Rose Daniels. He married Myrna Rose on March 10, 1978 in Charleston, Illinois. Earl retired from Huron Castings in 2011 as a hi-lo driver. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, being outdoors and morel hunting.
He served as district judge until his retirement in 1989. During his tenure he was assigned by the Michigan Supreme Court to serve on the Wayne County Circuit Court bench and in other district courts in the state. He was a former treasurer of Pointe Aux Barques Township and was a government approval agent for the Huron County Draft Board.
